Wonder Enrichment Wednesdays

Wonder Wednesdays offer a variety of courses to enrich a classical, Christian education to engage students in discovering more about the world around them, their interests, and strengths. Our program allows homeschool students the opportunity to collaborate, investigate, discover, create, and more. Students who desire to enroll all year in our Wonder program will receive a substantial discount.  Register for the entire year for only $1,850. If you would like to register for the entire first semester only, tuition is only $850 for the first semester. All courses are offered ala’  carte’ as well. Payment plans are available. Students who attend all day will have a lunch period from 11:40 AM – 12:10 PM. The first semester is September 4th – December 18th and the second semester is January 8th – April 29th.

Grades 3rd – 5th 
STEM: Inventive Engineering (8:30 – 9:20 AM) – Students in this course will combine all STEM concepts (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) into engaging challenges. Students will design a project, test its success, measure the results, and reflect on the “how” and “why” of what worked, and what did not.
Cost: $180 first semester and $240 second semester

Geography Kahoot! (9:30 – 10:20 AM first semester only) – This course is full of games and hands-on learning opportunities that reinforce world geography, world biomes, animals, facts and more. Geography doesn’t have to mean studying maps and memorizing state capitals! From making a treasure hunt to keeping a sensory journal, students will discover how geography is a part of their daily life! Students will also learn facts daily in class! We will culminate our learning with a geography bee!
Cost: $180 first semester

History Comes Alive! (9:30 – 10:20 AM second semester only) – In this course, students will encounter various historical figures and discover their impact on our culture today. Each student will also select a notable person from history and present their chosen person on the last day of class. Students will research, write, and act all while discovering the life of historical figures!
Cost: $240 second semester

Introduction to Spanish (10:40 – 11:40 AM) – Students in this course will find a love for the language of Spanish! Students will be introduced to as much vocabulary as possible and learn the formal structure of the Spanish language!
Cost: $132 first semester and $176 second semester

Mathletes (12:10 – 1:00 PM) – Do you want to flex your math muscles? Come engage in math practice through challenges, games, and real-world projects!
Cost: $132 first semester and $176 second semester

Art With The Masters (1:05 – 3:00 PM) – In this course, we will look at well-known artists throughout history, study their art, and make our own! Students will learn technical drawing and painting skills as well as how to discuss formal aspects of art and design.
Cost: $300 first semester and $400 second semester.
A lab fee of $30 is required each semester.

Chevar Torah (10:40 – 11:35 AM) – Many students have a desire to go deeper into their Christian faith, but ding their growth stunted by lack of opportunities, both to learn and to practice. This class offers students the opportunity to do both. Students will be encouraged to ask questions and seek answers, as well as being taught how to experience more in their walk with Jesus. Topics include Biblical Greek, Biblical Hebrew, the Spiritual Disciplines, Hermeneutics, Inductive Bible Study, and Evangelism.
Cost: $132 first semester and $176 second semester

Lunch (11:40 AM – 12:10 PM)

Civics, Leadership, and Service (12:10 – 1:00 PM)  – Community Service is an important aspect of our Christian faith. First quarter, civic servants will present their role in our community to our students. Second quarter students will plan, initiate, and participate in a civic community service project (Recycling initiative/park clean up). In the third quarter, students will hear from individuals throughout the non-profit sector. Students will culminate their learning by developing and implementing their own service project fourth quarter.

Sports and Games (1:05 -1:55) – By student request, come and learn how to play a variety of sports and games. Join us for the fun!

MATHletes (2:00 – 3:00 PM first semester only) – Want to flex your math muscles? In this course, students will apply math skills to real-world situations. From money around the world, designing advertisements with decimals and percentages, designing and creating a 3d building and even using math to recipes, students will put practice old and learn new math skills and employ them.

$132 first semester

Introduction to 3D Computer Programming (2:00 – 3:00 PM second semester only) – Learn basic computer skills using MIT’s ALICE platform! This course will cover concepts such as animation, object-oriented programming, functions, parameters, arguments, bitmaps, vectors, variables, decision structures, repetition structures, event detection, and more!
