On April 5, 2021, Scott Drew led Baylor Bears Basketball to do what no one thought possible: win the National Championship. Scott Drew arrived in Waco, Texas in 2003 to take over a Baylor program mired in tragedy and controversy. Since then, he has rebuilt Baylor basketball from the ground up into the elite program it is today. Drew’s passion, positivity, and relentless pursuit of excellence has instilled a mentality and culture that is unrivaled in the sport.

In his 18 years as Head Coach, Drew has led Baylor to 370 victories, nine NCAA Tournaments, five Sweet 16 appearances, three Elite Eight berths, and a Final Four run that ended with Baylor winning the 2021 National Championship. Drew has also earned an array of individual accolades, including two consecutive Big 12 Coach of the Year awards for (2020, 2021) and the 2020 NBC Sports National Coach of the Year. Coach Drew’s unprecedented transformation of the Baylor Bears is a representation of his work ethic, perseverance, authenticity, and insatiable determination to succeed and mold the young men he coaches.
