7th Boys Basketball Defeats Gorman
The 7th-grade boys jumped out to a 12-0 first-quarter lead and never looked back on their way to a 52-7 win over Bishop Gorman. Reib Habermehl led a balanced scoring attack with 13 points. Colt Ford and Paxton Bryant scored 10 each with 9 Cougars scoring in the game. The 8th grade came out sluggish in the first quarter tied with Bishop Gorman 6-6. The Cougars then erupted for an 18-1 second quarter on their way to a 40-19 victory, Coleman Swaim scored 14 of his game-high 16 points in the first half. Brayden Knox had 13 points and once again led the Cougars in rebounds. The Cougars will be back in action today against the Tyler HEAT. The 7th grade tips off at 5:00 followed by the 8th grade at 6:00 in the Taylor Gymnasium.
