Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Family Cookout?

We are blessed to have the award-winning Smokeshow grill burgers and hot dogs for our entire school family to enjoy! The Smokeshow will serve our meal from 4:00-5:00 p.m. on April 16th. You can register your family for this event, including your meal preferences of a burger or hot dog. The meal will cost $5/person with a maximum of $25/family expense. We do not want the event cost to inhibit anyone from attending this special event!

What is the Student Showcase?

The Student Showcase will include fine arts performances by students from each of our Grace campuses, including our early education through high school. The program will begin at 5:00 p.m. and end at 6:30 p.m. on the football field at Clyde-Perkins Stadium. There will be a variety of performers, including our early education handbells, elementary students, drumlines, orchestra, band, choir, middle school Lip Sync performance, theater department, and high school worship team. The evening will also include an art exhibit to enjoy by our students.

Why and Who Should Attend?

The family cookout and student showcase event is for the entire family! This event will be a celebration of Grace Community School and our STUDENTS! It will be an evening of fellowship and fun as families from our multiple campuses gather as a school family to celebrate all the Lord is doing in our school! We will have games organized by our High School Legacy groups from 4:00-5:00 p.m. We will enjoy a meal together and catch a glimpse of the numerous student fine arts opportunities on each of our school campuses. This is a wonderful opportunity to invite grandparents, friends, and prospective families who want to learn more about our Grace Community School family! We will end the evening with a time of worship!

What is the Attire?

Comfortable and very casual! The family cookout and student showcase will be on the football field. We will have cornhole, games, and activities for the students before the showcase begins. We will have picnic blankets, tables for those who prefer not to sit on the ground, and seating in the stands.
