Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Family Cookout?

The annual Grace Family Cookout has become the signature spring event for Grace families, alumni, and others who have been a part of the Grace community over the years. Smokeshow catering will grill and serve hamburgers from 5:00-6:30 p.m. prior to a special time of worship led by students, faculty, and alumni. The program will begin at 6:30 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m. on the football field at Clyde-Perkins Stadium.

Registration

All participants are required to register for tickets at no cost in advance of the event. Tickets for hamburgers are optional and available for purchase for $5 per person.  The deadline for online event registration is March 18th to provide an accurate count for catering and other planning.

Why and Who Should Attend?

The family cookout and 50th Celebration will be a special time for the entire Grace school community – from families who are on campus each day to our founders who prayed for the school’s beginning 50 years ago, as well as past and current school leadership, alumni, and their families.  If you love Grace Community School, this event is for you!

What is the Attire?

Comfortable and very casual. With the family cookout and 50th Celebration on the football field, we will have cornhole, games, and activities for the students before our time of worship and celebration begins. There will be tables and chairs on the field for those who prefer not to sit on the ground, and seating in the stands.  Feel free to bring your favorite picnic blanket or lawn chair for a front row seat on the field.

How may I volunteer?

There are numerous opportunities to serve in advance, during setup, and after the event. Please contact Event Chair Rachael Putman to be included in volunteer communications regarding the event and learn how you can help.
