7th Grade Girls Basketball Undefeated, Win Union Grove Tournament

December 15, 2025 – The Grace 7th grade girls basketball team went 3-0 last week, extending their perfect season record to 9-0.

On Monday, the Lady Cougars hosted All Saints and rolled to a 32-14 victory. Kathrine Proctor led all scorers with 13 points, while Stella Ramirez added nine and Hannah Jenks contributed six. Ellie Gillen and Cora Putnam each chipped in two points.

On Saturday, the team traveled to Union Grove for the Union Grove Tournament and captured the championship with wins in both games. In the first game, Grace defeated Troup 27-18. Ellie Gillen led the team with eight points, followed by Proctor with seven and Ramirez with six. Hannah Jenks, Elizabeth Russell and Cora Putnam each added two points.

In the championship game against host Union Grove, Grace prevailed 29-16. Proctor scored 11 points to lead the team, with Gillen adding eight and Jenks four. Russell, Rylee Hamer and Ramirez each contributed two points.

The Lady Cougars will play one final game before the Christmas break on Thursday at 6 p.m., hosting the Troup Lady Tigers.
