Grace Junior High Cross Country Team Excels at Hawkins Invitational

September 15, 2025 – This past weekend, the Grace Community School junior high cross country team competed at the Hawkins Invitational Meet, delivering an outstanding performance. The Cougars showcased strong individual and team efforts throughout the event.

On the boys side, Isaac Jenks led the team with a personal best time of 11 minutes and 44 seconds, winning the race by more than ten seconds. Joshua Wright finished 16th, Ben Castle 20th, Jace France 58th, and Chris Allgaier 60th, completing the scoring runners for the Cougars. Additionally, Cayleb Keel was the most improved runner of the week, cutting over four minutes off his previous best to set a new personal record.

For the girls team, Lydia Martinez placed 4th, Hannah Jenks 7th, Elizabeth Russell 15th, Riley Morgan 20th, and Audrey Stephenson 45th. Their combined efforts helped the girls secure a second-place overall team finish.

The Cougars will have a week off before competing in a dual meet against Christian Heritage on September 27.
