Junior High Football Highlights: Determination, Growth, and a Big Win for the Cougars

7th Grade Football Recap
The 7th-grade football team demonstrated tremendous effort in their recent game. Although the final score was 16–0, the players showed determination and heart throughout all four quarters. The defense played with grit, forcing the opposing team to earn every yard. Special teams brought energy and hustle, and the team showed noticeable improvement in communication and resilience. Most importantly, the players never stopped giving their best, regardless of the score. Their determination is a strong foundation for future success.
8th Grade Football Victory Over New Boston
The 8th-grade Cougars secured a 22–6 victory over New Boston. Miller Cooper led the offense by rushing for a touchdown and throwing for another. Elias McQuay had a standout performance, recording multiple tackles, catching a 40-yard touchdown pass from Cooper, and recovering a fumble that he returned 38 yards for a touchdown. Josh Anderson and Grayson Matthews contributed solid defensive efforts with multiple tackles. The offensive line—Isaac Wilson, Knox Arnold, Noah Newton, Hudson Fulchear, and Moises Vergara—played with intensity, keeping the Lions out of the backfield and protecting the quarterback throughout the game.
