Grace Community Middle School Swimmers Making Waves at Season Opener

September 22, 2025 – Grace Community Junior High swimmers opened their season with a strong performance at their first meet on Friday, held at the Tyler ISD Aquatic Center. The team represented Grace with effort, teamwork, and Christlike sportsmanship throughout the competition. Schools in attendance included Hubbard Middle School, Tyler Rose Aquatic Club, Birdwell Middle School, Three Lakes Middle School, Moore Middle School, Brook Hill Junior High, Caldwell Middle School, and Kings Academy Junior High.

Grace placed fourth overall with 281 points, a commendable result against several large and competitive programs.

The girls’ team displayed impressive depth, consistently placing in the top heats across multiple events. Hannah Jenks, Lydia Martinez, and Elizabeth Russell each earned first-place finishes in their respective events. Isabella Martin, Audrey Stephenson, and Larkin Meads achieved personal bests and contributed key points to the team’s overall score.

On the boys’ side, Christopher Allgaier led the way with a strong performance in freestyle, scoring valuable points for the team.

Each swimmer contributed not only through their individual performances but also through the encouragement and leadership they showed one another. Their sportsmanship and team spirit set a positive tone for the rest of the season.

  • Isabella Martin (7): 2nd place in the 100 Free, 5th in the 50 Breast
  • Lydia Martinez (7): 2nd place in the 100 IM, 4th in the 50 Fly 
  • Larkin Meads (6): 5th in the 50 Free, 7th in the 50 Back
  • Elizabeth Russell (6): 1st in the 50 Free, 4th in the 50 Back
  • Audrey Stephenson (6):  5th in the 100 IM, 5th in the 50 Back
