October 6, 2025 – The Grace Community School varsity boys golf team competed in the TAPPS Match Play Tournament at Cottonwood Creek Golf Course in Waco last Monday and Tuesday. The event featured elite competition from twenty teams representing schools across the state of Texas.

Grace performed strongly on day one, winning their pool by capturing all three 9-hole rounds. This performance advanced the team to the winners bracket on day two, where they played two highly competitive rounds but ultimately came up short.

One of the tournament highlights was Reid Habermehl, who went undefeated across all five of his matches and earned All-Tournament Honors for his outstanding play.

The varsity boys golf team is composed of Roan Thomas, Davis Wallace, Mac Pillsbury, Brock Sieber, Logan Trump, and Reid Habermehl, and is led by Coach Brenton Shaw.

The Cougars continue to show promise as they move forward in their season, demonstrating skill, composure, and competitive spirit on the course.
