JV Volleyball Overcomes Adversity in a Perfect Week of Wins

October 6, 2025 – The Grace Community School JV volleyball team delivered an outstanding performance this past week, overcoming adversity and securing multiple victories.
The week began with a home doubleheader against Cushing on Tuesday, where the Cougars faced a significant challenge – two of their six rotation players were out sick. With only six players available, each athlete had to remain on the court for the entirety of both matches. Several team members were called to step into unfamiliar positions, adjusting to new roles with confidence and determination. Bridget and Trinity led the offensive effort, finishing the night as the team’s leaders in kills. Despite the roster challenges, the team pulled together and emerged victorious in both matches.
The Cougars concluded their week on Thursday with a road match at Brook Hill, one of their key rivals. After dropping the first set, the team showed resilience and composure, rallying to win the next two sets in a thrilling three-set match. The comeback highlighted their determination and teamwork, especially in a high-energy rivalry atmosphere.
With back-to-back wins and strong character on display, the JV volleyball team continues to build momentum as the season progresses.
