Grace Football Faced Tough District Opponent on the Road

October 13, 2025 – The Grace Community School Varsity Football Team traveled to Austin last week for a challenging district matchup against the undefeated Regents School of Austin. Despite the Cougars’ continued effort and determination, the Regents offense proved difficult to contain, and the game concluded with a final score of 56–7 in favor of the Knights.
The Grace offense showed flashes of success throughout the game but struggled to sustain drives consistently. Senior Justus McQuay led the team in receiving with twenty-six yards on five catches and provided a key highlight with a kickoff return for a touchdown, which gave the Cougars a brief surge of momentum. Additional receptions came from seniors Doak Porter and Elijah Hicks, as well as sophomore Brandon Alexander. Rushing yards were contributed by senior Cole Stanley, junior Dylan Stinson, and Alexander.
Defensively, the Cougars worked to slow down a high-powered Regents offense. Junior Andrew Gardner stood out with a team-leading twelve tackles, one sack, and a forced fumble.
Grace will observe a bye week this Friday and return to district play on Friday, October 24, with a road game against Austin Hyde Park. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
