Lady Cougars Sweep on Senior Night, Set Sights on District Tournament

October 20, 2025 – Grace varsity volleyball had another strong showing last week as they faced off against Brighter Horizons on Senior Night. It was a fun and emotional evening as they honored their beloved seniors, and the team responded with an impressive performance, sweeping Brighter Horizons in three straight sets.

Seniors Lexi and Brooklyn led the way offensively and defensively, dominating in both kills and blocks. Brooklyn also served up a stellar performance at the line, leading the team in aces. On the defensive end, Parker was a standout, leading the team in digs and keeping rallies alive with hustle and consistency.

It was a fitting night to celebrate the contributions of the seniors, who played with passion and excellence in front of a packed home crowd.

Next up, the Lady Cougars will travel to Waco to compete in the TAPPS District Tournament this Thursday and Friday. They will open the tournament against cross-town rival Brook Hill on Thursday in the first round. Grace previously defeated Brook Hill convincingly in their last matchup, and the team is looking to carry that momentum into the postseason.

With strong senior leadership and solid team chemistry, Grace is poised to make a deep run in the tournament. Let’s go, Cougars!
