Grace Lady Cougars Open Season With Dominant Win Over Pine Tree
December 1, 2025 – The Grace Girls’ Soccer team opened its regular season schedule just before Thanksgiving break with a road match against Pine Tree. Entering the year with high expectations, the Lady Cougars return eight starters from last season and welcome several talented newcomers who are expected to make an immediate impact.
Grace began the game with intensity, applying pressure early, dominating possession, and threatening Pine Tree’s goal from the opening whistle. The Lady Cougars struck first and quickly followed with a series of additional goals, taking a 4–0 lead into halftime. Rather than easing off in the second half, Grace continued to push forward, adding two more goals and securing a decisive 6–0 victory.
Scoring contributions came from Addison Eli (3), Addie Mathews, Pryce Bowler, and Cesa Sabillon. Assists were provided by Elle Durham, Kate Herod, Addison Eli, Harper Miller, and Ella Herrin.
The Lady Cougars will return to action this week as they host the annual Winter Soccer Classic on campus. The team will compete in four games over the span of three days, facing strong competition throughout the event. Both the Girls’ and Boys’ Soccer teams will participate in the tournament, and the Grace community is encouraged to come out and support the Cougars.
