Lady Cougars Open District Play, Look Ahead to Brook Hill Showdown

January 12, 2025 – The Grace Community School varsity women’s soccer team was set to open district play last week against Cristo Rey, but weather ultimately altered the plans.

The Lady Cougars wasted no time making an impact, scoring in the first minute of play when Cesa Sabillon found the back of the net off an assist from Addison Eli to give Grace an early 1–0 lead. Shortly after kickoff, lightning in the area forced both teams off the field. Following multiple delays, the match was officially postponed. A rescheduled date and time will be announced once finalized.

This week, the Lady Cougars turn their attention to a key district matchup as they travel to Bullard on Friday to take on Brook Hill. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. Fans are encouraged to make the trip or tune in via livestream to support the Lady Cougars as district play gets underway.
