Middle School Boys Basketball Closes Season with Grit and Growth

February 2, 2026 – The seventh-grade Cougars finished their season on a high note, not defined by the final score but by their determination and teamwork. Throughout their final stretch, the boys encouraged one another, battled through adversity and consistently showed heart on the floor. Their growth and commitment were evident, providing a strong foundation for the future of Grace basketball.

The eighth-grade team delivered its best performance of the season Wednesday against King’s Academy. Earlier in the year, the Cougars had struggled against the same opponent, but this time they responded with energy and focus from the opening tip. All nine players contributed in a true team effort, playing hard on both ends of the court.

Grace carried a lead into the third quarter and continued to compete despite shots not falling down the stretch. The game remained close until the final moments, and while the Cougars came up just short, the performance reflected the team’s progress and character.

The eighth-grade Cougars conclude their season Thursday night in Kaufman against Wildfire Homeschool, closing a year marked by growth, perseverance and pride in the way they represented Grace Community School.
