Middle School Girls Basketball Closes Season with Growth and Pride
February 9, 2026 – The eighth-grade Lady Cougars closed their season with a loss to the Wildfire Homeschool Association, finishing the year with a 10-12 record against a highly competitive schedule. Throughout the season, the team made significant strides in their understanding of the game, developing into a disruptive defensive unit and learning to recognize offensive advantages and find open teammates. Scoring was balanced across the roster, with multiple players leading the team at different points and nearly every athlete contributing on the scoreboard. The group’s unity and coachability were evident all season, and the coaching staff is confident these girls are prepared to step into high school basketball.
The seventh-grade Lady Cougars concluded their season Monday night against a strong Wildfire Homeschool Association squad made up of seventh-, eighth- and ninth-grade players. Grace competed with great effort and attitude but fell 42-19. Kathrine Proctor led the scoring with seven points, followed by Stella Ramirez with five and Claire Foreman with four. Hannah Jenks added two points, and Emma Hird scored one.
The seventh-grade team finished the season with an outstanding 21-1 record. Throughout the year, the girls competed for the glory of Christ and represented their Savior, their families and Grace Community School with excellence. The coaching staff is proud of the way both teams played the game and the character they displayed.
