Cougar Middle School Tennis Finishes Strong at TAPSAC Tournament

March 30, 2026 – The Cougar middle school tennis team wrapped up its season competing in the TAPSAC Tournament held at Tyler Junior College last week. Teams participating included All Saints, Brook Hill, T.K. Gorman and Grace.
Grace was represented by a large group of student-athletes, including eighth graders Titus Bearden, Noel Bohl, Myla Cook, Sara Doyle, Teagan Clark, Oliver Gibson (injured), Emilie Heaton, Sophia Jackson, Leila Jordt, Sophie Osteen, Haley Pino, Lizzie Ravanesi and Maverick Tschirhart. Seventh graders competing included Claire Foreman, Ona Foreman, Kate Herrin, Larkin Meads, AnnaKate Negem, Micha Stockhammer and Landrey Walsh.
The Cougars played some of their best tennis of the season and earned several top finishes. In girls A singles, Emilie Heaton finished second, while Teagan Clark placed fourth. Sophie Osteen and Noel Bohl finished seventh and eighth.
Grace dominated the girls B singles division, with Landrey Walsh winning first place and Larkin Meads taking second.
In boys singles, Kylan West earned a third-place medal.
In girls doubles, Myla Cook and Micha Stockhammer finished third. Ona Foreman and Claire Foreman placed fifth, Sophia Jackson and AnnaKate Negem took sixth, and Sara Doyle and Haley Pino finished seventh and eighth.
In girls B doubles, Lizzie Ravanesi and Kate Herrin competed in a round-robin format and split their matches, ending the tournament in a three-way tie.
Coaches Weger and Wells congratulated the entire Cougar tennis team on an outstanding season and praised the athletes for representing Grace with strong sportsmanship and a positive attitude. The coaches also thanked parents for their continued support throughout the season.
