Cougar Track Earns Top Finishes at Saints Relays

April 6, 2026 – The Lady Cougar and Cougar track teams competed Thursday at the Saints Relays hosted by FBA, turning in strong performances against large fields.

The Lady Cougars finished sixth out of 26 teams. Brooklyn Gautier earned a gold medal in the pole vault, while Addie Matthews added a silver and bronze medal in the 110-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles.

Additional points for Grace were scored by Zadie Fenton in the 300-meter hurdles, Elizabeth Rath in the pole vault and Samantha Stewart in the triple jump.

The Varsity Cougars placed third out of 21 teams. B.J. Olusola earned a gold medal in the 110-meter hurdles and added a silver medal in the 300-meter hurdles. Christian Henry placed second in the discus, while Ayle Hecht earned silver in the pole vault.

Grace also earned a silver medal in the 4×400-meter relay with Truett Roseman, Coleman Swaim, Clayton Bock and Olusola.

Other Cougars scoring points included Christian Henry and Luke Anderson in the shot put, Clayton Bock in the 800-meter run, and the 4×100-meter relay team of Roseman, Cole Stanley, Justus McQuay and Elijah Hicks.

Grace will return to action this Thursday, April 9, at Brook Hill for the David Vinson Private School Championships. Field events begin at 2 p.m., with running events starting at 4 p.m. Fans are encouraged to come out and cheer on the Cougars and Lady Cougars.
