Grace Volleyball Wins Tournament Championship

August 31, 2026 – It was another strong week for Grace volleyball. On Tuesday night, both JV White and JV Blue picked up wins over Kilgore, while varsity earned victories over Kilgore and Gladewater in a dual match.

Varsity carried that momentum into a three-day tournament beginning Thursday, going undefeated on the first day. Friday brought tougher competition: the Cougars dropped a match to Sabine but bounced back to win their other two matches, securing a spot in the Gold Bracket on Saturday.

Grace opened Saturday with a win over Harmony, setting up a rematch with Sabine. After falling to Sabine the day before, the Cougars came out on top this time to advance to the championship match. In the title game, Grace faced Union Grove and fought from start to finish, closing out the weekend with a championship victory and the tournament title.
