Freshman, JV and Varsity All Pick Up Wins for Grace Volleyball

September 7, 2026 – It was another exciting week for Grace Volleyball, with our Freshman, JV, and Varsity teams all earning victories over Jacksonville at home on Tuesday night! Varsity had several outstanding performances, led by Rath with 14 kills and 2 aces. Loftis had a great all-around game, contributing 31 assists, 5 kills, and 2 aces. Bryan was also a force on the court, finishing with a 2.7 passing average in serve receive and 10 kills. Thank you to everyone who came out to support and cheer on our teams!

Our JV team competed in a tournament on Thursday and Saturday. On Thursday, the team went 2-1 and finished second in their pool, putting themselves in a great position heading into Saturday’s competition. On Saturday, JV opened bracket play against Edgewood and fought hard, but ultimately fell in two closely contested sets. The girls were able to finish strong and went 2-1 again on Saturday winning the consolidation bracket! 

On Friday, our Varsity team traveled to Arp for a hard-fought match. Despite being down two players, Kincade, Smith, and Burton stepped up from JV to join the Varsity group and help the team compete. Grace battled hard and came away with an impressive 3-1 victory over Arp! Whitson had an amazing night in the back row, recording a 2.5 passing average in serve receive along with 3 aces. Muns was a strong presence at the net with 2 blocks and 8 kills, while Rath continued her outstanding week with a 2.6 passing average in serve receive, 8 kills, and 2 aces.

We are so proud of the way each of our teams continues to compete, grow, and support one another. It was a great week for Grace Volleyball, and we look forward to what is ahead!
