Cougars Fall Just Short in High-Scoring Battle with Timpson

September 7, 2026 – Grace Community School’s varsity football team fell to Timpson, 40-34, in a high-scoring battle last Friday. Slade Etheredge had a big night through the air, throwing for 260 yards and four touchdowns while adding 14 rushing yards, and Christian Henry hauled in four receptions for 120 yards.

On defense, Bruhn Henry led the Cougars with 13 total tackles, including eight solo stops, and Bradon Alexander added 12 total tackles with nine solo. The defense came up with two crucial fourth-down stops in the fourth quarter to give the offense extra opportunities late in the game.

The Cougars will look to bounce back this Friday when they travel to face Troup.
