Freshman Volleyball Picks Up Big Win as Cougars Prepare for District

September 14, 2026 – It was a one-night week for Grace volleyball as the freshman, JV and varsity teams all took on Tyler Heat. The freshman team came away with a big win, fighting hard from start to finish to earn the victory. JV and varsity both fell to Heat, though both teams continued to show growth and fight throughout the night.

Varsity had several standout performances despite the loss. Rath led the team in both passing and hitting, finishing with a 2.6 passing average and 10 kills without a single error. Bryan led the team in digs and aces, making plays all over the court, and Whitson came up with a big stuff block, a skill she has been working to develop in practice.

With the nondistrict slate behind them, the Cougars now turn their attention to district play, opening Tuesday night at home with a big game against Bishop Dunne.
