Cougars Win Fourth Straight, Stay Unbeaten in District Play with 42-13 Rout of Bishop Dunne

October 12, 2026 – Grace Community School’s varsity football team stayed hot on the road Friday, rolling past Bishop Dunne 42-13 for its fourth straight win and a 2-0 start in district play.

The Cougars, who opened the season 0-3, are now 4-3 overall and have found their rhythm at the right time.

The passing game did much of the damage. Slade Etheredge completed just eight passes but made them count, throwing for 234 yards and three touchdowns. Bradon Alexander was the night’s biggest weapon, scoring twice and piling up 208 yards from scrimmage. He rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown on 10 touches, then turned two catches into 110 yards and another score. Christian Henry added two catches for 85 yards and a touchdown, giving Etheredge’s two top targets just four receptions for 195 yards.

Defensively, Andrew Gardner was all over the field. He finished with 18 tackles, more than double any teammate, including a sack and a tackle for loss. Brayden Gregory added seven tackles, a sack and a tackle for loss, and Bruhn Henry also had seven stops.

The Cougars return home Friday, Oct. 16, for a rivalry showdown with the Brook Hill Guard at 7 p.m., with their four-game winning streak on the line.
