Lady Cougars Honor Seniors
| The Lady Cougars finished their district season last week in 2nd place. Tuesday night the Cougars honored their three seniors, and ran away with an 84-23 win over Cristo Rey. The Seniors led the way with Abigail Roach tallying 18 points, 10 assists, and 6 steals. Ashley Brown had 15 points and Reece Porter had 11. New to Grace last year, Abigail Roach has made an immediate impact on the success of the team in her first season as a Cougar averaging 10 points and 4.5 assists. Ashley Brown has been a member of the team all four seasons. She has had a great senior season on the court, and her love of her team and battle through injuries the past two seasons have inspired her teammates. Reece Porter has been leader on the team on and off the court for four years. She has racked up many post season awards over four seasons, but her joyful leadership will be most missed. Friday night the team took on Cayuga in a warm up game. The Cougars again came out victorious 55-39. Brenna Hill had a hot shooting night with 19 points, Reece Porter had 14. The Cougars are 29-10 and received a first round bye in the playoffs. They will take on Fort Worth All Saints at Navarro College Tuesday night in the Area round |
