Practices will be Monday Nights 7:00 – 9:00 pm at Flyer Athletics until school lets out.
Additional Information
Varsity Cheer Camp will be June 6th-9th mornings and evenings will be reserved for HS camp and TAPPS Choreography.
Elementary Kids Camp will be June 6th-9th from 11:30 am – 4:30 pm
Middle School Camp will be two weeks before school starts. We will also start our practice schedules and begin to get prepared for Meet the Cougars.

Maggie Koehn
Varsity Cheer Coach
Maggie Williams Koehn is in her first season as the Varsity Coach for Grace Cheer.
A Tyler, Texas native, Williams Koehn is a Baylor University graduate where she was on the Baylor Co-Ed Cheer Team for four years. She served as a team captain on the cheer team while pursuing a degree in Studio Art – Graphic Design. She also has earned a Masters of Science in College Student Personnel from Arkansas Tech University and is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership in Higher Education through Abilene Christian University.
She grew up dancing at Dance-N-Drill and danced and cheered for 12 years and transitioned out of dance and into competitive cheer at Spirit of Tyler in high school. That is where she ultimately fell in love with cheering.
Maggie started taking coaching to the next level when she became the Head Cheer Coach during her Masters program at Arkansas Tech University. Maggie continued to coach at the collegiate level back in her hometown at UT Tyler. She is currently in her fifth season as the UT Tyler Head Spirit Squad coach. The Spirit Squad is made up of Dance, Mascot, STUNT and the Cheer team. She also cheered professionally for 3 years for the Houston Rockets and 1 year for the Indianapolis Colts. She has and continues to teach High school cheer, All Star Cheer, dance, tumbling and fitness classes for over 15 years combined.
Maggie also serves as the Interim Director of External Operations and Relationship for Patriot Athletics and additionally advises the Greek sorority, Zeta, and the Student Athlete Advisory Committee also known as SAAC.
Academically, Maggie has trained others and presented on leadership on multiple occasions including local schools in East and Central Texas along with the most recent East Texas Leadership Summit as a co-presenter with Dr. Colleen Marzilli. She has also created a curriculum with the Associate Dean of Students, Kim-Harvey Livingston, for freshmen Student-Athletes that provides leadership skills and coordinates with a mentorship program.
