Cougar Basketball Ends Season and Dancy Receives Scholarship from the Tyler Basketball Officials Association

The Cougars Varsity Basketball team ended their season on Tuesday with a loss in the Area Playoffs to Midland Christian. The Cougars finished the season with a 20-15 overall record after going 7-5 and placing 3rd in the district. Grace won 20 games two years in a row for the first time in 20 years. The Cougars will miss our seniors Andrew Dancy, Hank Gilmore, Brinton Loftis, Ethan Roach, Wilson Smith, and Allen Zhang. These young men have helped lay a solid foundation for future success.

Special thanks to everyone in the Grace family for their support throughout the season. We greatly appreciate the cheerleaders, Cougarettes, and drumline for their performances throughout the season.

With 7 returning lettermen and a group of talented players moving up from our JV team, the future is bright for Cougars Basketball. We look forward to bigger and better things in the future and will continue to raise the bar of excellence each season.

Congratulations to senior Andrew Dancy, who received a $1000 scholarship from the Tyler Basketball Officials Association. Andrew was presented the award at a banquet held last night. We are very proud of Andrew for receiving this prestigious award.

GO COUGARS!
