Cougar Soccer Celebrates Senior Night With 1–0 Win Over Austin Regents

February 2, 2026 – Senior Night proved to be a memorable evening for the Grace Community varsity boys soccer team, as the Cougars earned a 1–0 district win over Austin Regents while honoring four seniors.
Grace played with confidence and intensity throughout the match, battling for every ball and supporting one another on both ends of the field. The Cougars’ aggressive, disciplined approach reflected their trust in each other and respect for the game.
The decisive moment came on a laser strike from junior forward Josiah King, who scored from 25 yards out to provide the night’s only goal. The goal was assisted by junior defender Dylan Small. King was named game MVP for his match-winning performance.
Grace’s defense held strong all night, led by Unsung Hero junior defender Logan Levels. Coach’s Choice honors went to senior midfielder Peter Davis and sophomore forward Cayden Palacios for their relentless effort and work rate.
With the win, the Cougars improved to 2–2 in district play and 6–5 overall, currently sitting in third place in the standings.
Grace returns to action this week with two matches. The Cougars will host Bishop Dunne on Wednesday, Feb. 4, before traveling to Austin on Friday, Feb. 6, to face Brentwood. Both matches are scheduled for 6 p.m.
The program also recognized its seniors—Peter Davis, Elijah Hicks, Brock Sieber and Logan Trump—for their leadership, dedication and commitment throughout the season.
