Cougar Swim Team Opens Season with Time Trials

September 14, 2026 – The Grace Cougar swim team kicked off its season with time trials, jumping into competition after just three practices to learn, compete and see what the new season might hold.

For many swimmers, the meet was a chance to step outside their comfort zone, with several competing in races they had never swum before. The meet moved quickly, with many swimmers racing multiple events back-to-back and little rest in between, requiring focus, determination and the ability to recover quickly before diving back in.

While the meet centered on time trials and finding out where each swimmer stands, it also served as an opportunity to build confidence and lay the foundation for the season ahead.

Coaches said the meet was a strong start to the year and a glimpse of the season to come, with the Cougar swim team looking to grow both in and out of the pool as the year progresses.
