Cougar Tennis Brings Home Medals from Tyler Tournaments

February 23, 2026 – The Grace Cougar varsity tennis team competed in two highly competitive Tyler tournaments over the past few weeks, earning several medals while facing some of the top players in the state.
At the Tim King Legacy Tournament — which featured 40 teams and more than 500 players from across Texas — the Cougars turned in an impressive showing. Frederik Werner captured second place in the top division, while Leo Rosso claimed first place in his division. Mia Lindley earned a consolation finish in her division, adding to the team’s strong results.
The Cougars continued their success at the Tyler High Bob Faulkner Tournament. Werner improved on his previous finish by winning first place in the top division. Rosso battled in the top division and secured a consolation finish, while Lindley placed fifth in the top division.
Evangeline Bock and Tessa Stockhammer competed in singles play at the Bob Faulkner tournament and each earned a match victory.
In doubles competition, Aiden Morales and Easton Griffin placed sixth in the B division. Blake Singer and Cade McElmurray also competed in the B division and picked up a match win. Henry Diana and Ethan Foreman represented Grace in the C division, competing in a round-robin format.
The Cougars will return to action this week at the Holly Ford Memorial Tournament in Longview as they continue building momentum this season.
