Cougar Track Collects Medals at Dave Vinson Invitational

April 13, 2026 – The Lady Cougar and Cougar track teams competed Thursday at the Dave Vinson Invitational in Bullard and brought home several medals and top finishes across a variety of events.
For the Lady Cougars, gold medals were earned by Casey Goetz in the 3,200-meter run, Emma Goetz in the 1,600-meter run, Addie Matthews in the 300-meter hurdles and Paige Gilmore in the high jump.
Silver medals for Grace were won by Casey Goetz in the 1,600-meter run, the 4×100-meter relay team of Zadie Fenton, Pryce Boeler, Cecilia Sabilion and Addison Eli, and the 4×400-meter relay team of Samantha Stewart, Dani Bryan, Cecilia Sabilion and Eli.
Bronze medals were earned by Fenton in the 100-meter hurdles and the 4×200-meter relay team of Stewart, Bryan, Sabilion and Eli.
Additional points were scored by Brooklynn Gautier, Elizabeth Rath and Trinity Schulz in the pole vault, M.J. Hanson in the 800-meter run and Rylee Phillips in the triple jump.
The Varsity Cougars also posted strong results. Gold medals were earned by B.J. Olusola in both the 110-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles, Ayle Hecht in the pole vault, Christian Henry in the discus and Clayton Bock in the 800-meter run.
Silver medals were won by Roe Gaddis in the triple jump, Parker Patterson in the 110-meter hurdles, the 4×200-meter relay team of Henry, Cole Stanley, Justus McQuay and Elijah Hicks, and the 4×400-meter relay team of Gaddis, Luke Burks, Coleman Swaim and Olusola.
Other Cougars scoring points included William Butts in the 400-meter dash, Wyatt Grimes in the 3,200-meter run, Ayden Serrato in the 1,600-meter run, and Bradon Alexander, Luke Anderson and Henry in the shot put. Alexander also scored in the discus. The 4×100-meter relay team and the 4×400-meter relay team also contributed valuable points for Grace.
The Lady Cougars and Cougars will return to action Wednesday, April 15, at the home track for the 5A District 2 Track Meet. Field events begin at 10:45 a.m., with running events starting at 2 p.m. Fans are encouraged to come out and support the Cougars as they compete for another district championship.
