Cougar Track Sweeps Brook Hill Invitational Team Titles

March 30, 2026 – The Lady Cougar and Cougar track teams delivered a championship performance Thursday at the Brook Hill Invitational in Bullard, as both squads finished first overall and collected numerous medals across running and field events.

The Lady Cougars earned several gold medals, led by Zadie Fenton, who won both the 100-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles. Sadie Arriola captured first in the shot put, while Addie Matthews won the long jump. Samantha Stewart took gold in the triple jump, and M.J. Hanson placed first in the 3,200-meter run. Emma Goetz won the 800-meter run, and Paige Gilmore earned gold in the high jump.

Grace also won two relay events, including the 4×100-meter relay team of Stewart, Fenton, Cecilia Sabilion and Addison Eli, along with the 4×400-meter relay team of Emma Goetz, Casey Goetz, Sabilion and Eli.

Silver medalists for the Lady Cougars included Casey Goetz in both the 800-meter and 1,600-meter runs, Matthews in the 100-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles, Brooklyn Gautier in the pole vault, and Arriola in the discus. Rylie Phillips earned silver in the triple jump, and the 4×200-meter relay team of Stewart, Zoe Coates, Dani Bryan and Eli also finished second.

Bronze medals were earned by Elizabeth Rath in the pole vault and Aragon Tanner in the 3,200-meter run. Additional points for the Lady Cougars were scored by Trinity Schulz in the pole vault, Rebecca Dai in the 400-meter run, Coates in the 100-meter hurdles and Hanson in the 800-meter run.

The Cougars also posted an impressive day, earning gold medals from Christian Henry in the discus, Luke Anderson in the shot put, and Ayle Hecht in the pole vault. B.J. Olusola captured gold in both the 110-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles. Gabriel Adams won the triple jump, and Roe Gaddis also earned gold in the triple jump.

Grace also swept multiple relay events, including gold from the 4×100-meter relay team of Truett Roseman, Cole Stanley, Justus McQuay and Elijah Hicks. The Cougars won the 4×200-meter relay with Henry, Bruhn Henry, Carter Zimmerman and McQuay, and the 4×400-meter relay team of Roseman, Gaddis, Coleman Swaim and Olusola also finished first.

Silver medals were won by Henry in the shot put, Gaddis in the 3,200-meter run, Brayden Bryan in the discus, McQuay in the 200-meter dash and Parker Patterson in the 300-meter hurdles.

Bronze medals for the Cougars were earned by Patterson in the 300-meter hurdles and Olusola in the high jump. Additional points were contributed by Asher Wycliffe in the 1,600-meter and 3,200-meter runs, Swaim in the 400-meter dash, William Butts in the 400-meter dash, Hicks in the 100-meter dash, Wyatt Grimes in the 1,600-meter run, Bryan in the shot put, Anderson in the discus and Gaddis in the triple jump.
