Cougar Track Team Dominated at Home in Cougar Relays
March 23, 2026 – The Lady Cougars and Varsity Cougars took first place at the Cougar Relays held at home Friday, bringing home a host of gold, silver, and bronze medals.
Lady Cougars standouts included:
- Gold medals: Sadie Arriola (shot put, discus), Addie Matthews (300-meter hurdles), Casey Goetz (3,200m and 800m), Paige Gilmore (high jump), and the 4x200m relay team of Samantha Stewart, Dani Bryan, Cecilia Sabilion, and Addison Eli.
- Silver medals: Zadie Fenton (300m hurdles), Addie Matthews (100m hurdles), Brooklyn Gautier (pole vault), and the 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams.
- Bronze medals: M.J. Hanson (3,200m), Elizabeth Rath (pole vault), and Zadie Fenton (100m hurdles).
Other Lady Cougars earned points with strong performances in long jump, triple jump, pole vault, and distance events.
Cougars medal winners included:
- Gold medals: Christian Henry (discus), Luke Anderson (shot put), Clayton Bock (800m, 1,600m), Ayle Hecht (pole vault), B.J. Olusola (high jump, 110m hurdles), Roe Gaddis (triple jump), and the 4x100m relay team of Henry, Cole Stanley, Justus McQuay, and Elijah Hicks.
- Silver medals: Christian Henry (shot put), Roe Gaddis (1,600m), and the 4x200m relay team.
- Bronze medals: Roe Gaddis (800m), Parker Patterson (110m hurdles), B.J. Olusola (300m hurdles), and Justus McQuay (200m dash).
Several other Cougar athletes contributed points in sprints, distance, jumps, and throws, showcasing depth across the team.
JV Cougars also shined, with Deacon Flores earning gold in both the shot put and discus. Carter Zimmerman and the 4x100m relay team captured silver, while Thatcher Parish earned bronze in the pole vault. Additional points were earned by Henry Persing and Dax Dixon in the pole vault.
The Lady Cougar and Cougar track teams will compete next at the Brook Hill Invitational on Thursday, March 26. Field events begin at 2 p.m., with running events starting at 5 p.m. Fans are encouraged to come out and cheer the teams to the finish.
