Cougars Celebrate Senior Night

Our Cougars celebrated and honored their seniors, from the Class of 2023, with a resounding win against Cristo Rey in front of a packed house in Taylor Gymnasium on Tuesday. Starting an all senior line-up the Cougars jumped out to an early lead and kept their foot on the gas in their final home game of the season. Leading the way in scoring for the Cougars was senior Darius Shankle, who scored 27 points and surpassed the 1000 point mark for his career. Seniors Kole Crawford (22 points), Will Bozeman (12 points), and Cade Covington (10 points) all reached double figures. All our seniors scored on the evening including Drew Gaddis (7 points), Reed Alexander (5 points – including a high flying dunk), and Grayson Gaddis (3 points). This group of seniors have played a major role in the team’s success this season. The Cougars enter the playoffs with a 24-12 overall and a 7-5 district record.

Special thanks to Coach Melissa Fox, Coach Maggie Koehn, and Mr. Jeff Shelton for their support on Senior Night and throughout the season. Having the Cougarettes, cheerleaders, and drumline at our games helps enhance the experience for our players and fans and we greatly appreciate you giving us a true home court advantage.
