Cougars Conclude Winter Classic with 2–2 Finish, Highlighting Strengths and Areas for Growth Before District Play

December 8, 2025 – The Cougars wrapped up the 2025 Winter Classic with a 2–2 record, demonstrating determination in every match while also identifying key areas to sharpen as district play approaches. The team competed with grit throughout the weekend, gaining valuable lessons that will help refine their approach in the coming weeks.
With one final matchup remaining before Christmas break, Cougar fans are encouraged to show their support at home next Monday, December 15th. Junior Varsity will kick off at 5:30 p.m., followed by Varsity at 7:00 p.m. against Tyler Heat.
Winter Classic Four-Game Recap
Game 1 – Thursday vs. Lutheran South — 2–0 Win
The Cougars opened the tournament with a composed and efficient performance, securing a 2–0 victory. Goals were scored by Logan Santini and Josiah King, both assisted by Nehemiah Valdez. The match set a positive tone for the weekend as the team demonstrated discipline and control in all phases of play.
