Cougars Defeat All Saints and Bishop Gorman

The week before the Thanksgiving break, the boys soccer team played two local games and earned away wins in each of them.  On Monday 11/14 the Cougars won 7-1 at All Saints and on Thursday 11/17 and won 4-0 at Bishop Gorman. At All Saints, Junior Forward Carter Eli had his first hat-trick of the season as well as Senior Forward Caleb Carmack. Eli was assisted by Sophomore Midfielder Carter Eitel and Caleb Carmack twice. Carmack’s goals were assisted by Senior Forward Tre Bowie twice and Freshman Midfielder Logan Trump. The last goal was scored by Logan and Tre earned his third assist. Notable performances went to Junior Defender Cole Edens, Sophomore Forward Jay Bang, and Senior Midfielder Michael Green.

At Gorman, the Cougars got to an early start with the first goal scored off a free kick by Senior Forward Caleb Carmack. The second goal was scored by Sophomore Forward Gabriel King and he was assisted by Freshman Midfielder Logan Trump. Logan got his second assist by setting up Senior Forward Tre Bowie to make it 3-0. Tre scored his second goal of the game and he was assisted by Freshman Midfielder Brock Sieber. Notable performances went to Sophomore Defender Josue Ramirez, Sophomore Midfielder Carter Eitel, and Junior Forward Carter Eli who was anchoring the defense for this game.  Their current overall record stands at 5-1-0 (and 0-0 in District).

The Cougars now host four home games this week as they compete in the Annual Winter Soccer Classic Soccer Tournament. Their schedule is as follow: Thursday 12/1 versus Lutheran South @7pm Friday 12/2 versus Woodlands @12pm and versus Concordia 730pm and Saturday 12/3 versus Second Baptist @10am
