Cougars Defeat Cumberland

he Cougars only had one game last Thursday as they hosted Cumberland and won 3-1. 

It was their last non-district game of the season. They improved their record at 12-2-1 (0-0 District).

Freshman Midfielder Logan Trump scored the first goal and Junior Captain Carter Eli assisted him off a throw-in for a 20 yard shot that went into the back of the net. Sophomore Midfielder Carter Eitel scored to make it 2-0 as he combined with Junior Midfielder Daniel Kucheruk for the assist. Cumberland made it 2-1 with 18 minutes left. To make it 3-1, Senior Goalkeeper Austin Hudgins was playing on the field as a forward and scored his first ever on the field goal. Daniel Kucheruk picked up his second assist for that last goal. Notable performances went to Sophomore Forward Jay Bang, Freshman Forward Peter Davis, and Sophomore Forward Jamin Stewart.

Now the Cougars this week start District play with two tough away games in Dallas.

On Monday 1/9 they match up @Cristo Rey for a 7:30 pm kickoff and on Thursday 1/12 they square off @Bishop Dunne for a 7:00 pm kick off.
