Cougars Drop First Game of the Season

Kobe Bryant once said, “Everything negative is all an opportunity to rise.”  The Grace football team finds itself with just such an opportunity after last week’s game against Grapevine Faith.  It was not the Cougars night, and credit must be given to Faith for the way they played.

Although there were not many bright spots for the Cougars, a few players did stand out with their performance.  Grant Turner led the way on Offense with 105 yards receiving and a TD.  Blake Harmon and Lawson Livingston both played an outstanding game on Defense, combining for 22 tackles.  And Jamarion Johnson added 156 return yards on Special Teams.

The Cougars won’t have time to lick their wounds, as they look to bounce back on Friday at home against Coram Deo.  It will be Senior Night, so come out and helps us to honor our seniors for their service.  Game starts at 7:30pm.  We hope to see you there!
