Cougars Show Character in Road Matchup Against Brook Hill

October 6, 2025 – On Friday, the Grace Community School varsity football team traveled to Brook Hill for a hard-fought and spirited contest. Despite falling short with a final score of 44–10, the Cougars displayed admirable perseverance and character throughout the game. With several players out due to injury, many team members stepped into unfamiliar roles and performed with commendable poise under pressure.
Doak Porter and Justus McQuay led the receiving corps, each recording three receptions, with McQuay adding the team’s only touchdown. Dylan Stinson stepped in at quarterback and passed for 159 yards, including one touchdown. Special teams were anchored by Josiah King, who contributed a successful field goal and extra point, while also handling punting duties effectively.
Defensively, Andrew Gardner led the team with 10 tackles and one sack, while Brayden Gregory, a sophomore, recorded an interception from his position on the defensive line—an impressive contribution.
The Cougars will return to action this Thursday, August 9, as they travel to Austin to face Austin Regents. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
