Cougars Use Big Second Half to Beat White Oak

The JV Cougs defended their home turf this past Thursday night with a 42-6 victory over White Oak. While the score was close at halftime (14-6), all it took was a big time hit/tackle for a loss by Brock Sieber and a huge 50+ yard punt return by Doak Porter to get the JV Cougs rolling at the start of the second half!

The JV Defense, once again, had another dominant showing as they continue to add to their growing total number of shutout quarters behind two turnovers in the second half – highlighted by Jackson Ford having another pick-6! Offensively, McCade Stinson threw for a couple of touchdowns with Konnor McCoy and Doak Porter on the receiving end, and the running game got it going behind Justus McQuay, Doak Porter, and Noah Felton (who scored first on a 40+ yard scamper to the endzone). Next week, the JV Football Team travels to Atlanta over Fall Break to take on the Rabbits – GO COUGS!!
