Girls Junior High Soccer Shows Grit Against Brook Hill

February 2, 2026 – The Grace girls middle school soccer team was back in action Thursday night at home against Brook Hill, and the girls once again showed their resilience and determination on the field.
Facing a challenging opponent and adjusting to several players stepping into new positions, the Lady Cougars battled hard from start to finish and limited Brook Hill to just one goal in the first half. The team’s defensive effort stood out, led by Lizzie Ravanesi, Olivia Myers, Sadie Velten, and Landrey Walsh, who worked together to hold strong under pressure.
The Cougars also showcased true team-first mentality with multiple players stepping into the goalkeeper role throughout the match. Ona Foreman, Josie Jenz, Collins Carter, and Haley Pino each made guest appearances in goal, rising to the challenge and helping anchor the defensive effort.
On Friday night, the girls were honored at halftime of the varsity girls basketball game in recognition of their hard work, growth, and perseverance throughout the season—a well-deserved moment of celebration for a team that has continued to compete with heart and effort every match.
The girls will wrap up their season Monday at 4:00 PM at home as they take on Tyler Heat. Come out and show your support as the Lady Cougars close out the year on their home field!
