Grace 8th Boys & Girls Track Traveled to FBC Dallas
The Grace 8th Boys and Girls track team traveled to FBC Dallas this past Thursday (3.7.24) to compete in the Rogers MS Relays. It was a wet and windy day but our Cougars competed with great effort. Because of several lightning delays, the meet was called after the girls’ 200. Yet, without those canceled events (Boys 200, all – 1600, and 4×400 relays), both teams came away with overwhelming victories. The Girls scored a total of 131 points with 2nd place being at 87. The Boys scored a total of 179 points with 2nd place being at 64. It was a great day to be a Cougar!!
RELAYS: Our relay teams did a fantastic job. Our Girls 4×100 relay team (Samantha Stewart, Rylee Phillips, Caroline Burkett, and Mia Lindley) finished 6th out of 13 teams and just missed out on medaling by less than a second and a half. They finished 3rd in the 4×200 – less than 1 second from 1st. (Samantha Stewart, Cora Castle, Elizabeth Rath, and Mia Lindley). Our Boys 4×100 relay team (Jaden Boateng, Carter Zimmerman, Nehemiah Valdez, and Bradon Alexander) finished 2nd by less than .60 seconds. The Boys 4×200 relay team (Jaden Boateng, Nehemiah Valdez, Carter Zimmerman, and Bradon Alexander) finished first.
