Grace Junior High Cross Country Improves at Willie Wildcat Classic

August 31, 2026 – The Grace Community Junior High cross country team competed Saturday morning at the Willie Wildcat Classic, taking on a combined field of more than 260 runners in the second race of the season. Despite tight quarters and warming temperatures, both teams found success.

Levi Leandro dropped 1 minute, 50 seconds off his time from the previous week, while David Roseman improved by 1:45. Ava Weimer cut 1:16 off her season best, and Cambrie Socia finished 43 seconds faster than the week before.

The girls team finished third overall, scored by Hannah Jenks, Ellie Gillen, Cambrie Socia, Audrey Stephenson and Anna Martinez. The boys team finished seventh, scored by Ben Castle, Wesley Weiner, David Roseman, Jace France and Jackson Dison.
