GRACE FALL INVITATIONAL

Cougar swimmers went ALL OUT at the home meet on Saturday. From the Pirate Plunge theme, to the “treasures” given to the seniors during senior appreciation awards, to the efforts put into the races, these swimmers stood out from the crowd. The girls team won their third meet in a row for the season. The girls points combined with the boys team points put the combined total 3 points ahead of Longview making the

Cougars team champions. They could not have do it without the outpouring of support they received from the student body showing up to cheer them on and the Cougarettes being there to help with timing and meet operations. Also a special thanks goes out to Associate AD, Eddie Francis, for cheering our swimmers on and encouraging them throughout the meet. It was a great final home meet for the seniors to remember.

Grace swimmers were led by seniors Blakely Roseberry, (winning the 200 Individual Medley and 100 freestyle) , and Michael Green, (winning the 50 freestyle and 100 Breaststroke). Also having a very successful day were senior Ashley Taylor winning the 100 breaststroke, and sophomore Jennifer Montier winning the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke. The girls won 7 out of the 12 girls events. Along with Michael, senior Colton Harmon put in some extremely fast swims, coming in second in both the 50 and 100 freestyle events.
