Grace Volleyball Opens District with Two Big Wins

September 20, 2026 – It was another strong week for Grace volleyball as the Cougars opened district play with two big wins.

On Tuesday night, varsity hosted Bishop Dunne and came away with a 3-0 sweep. Whitson led the offense with 10 kills and three aces, while Smith also had a big night at the service line with three aces of her own. Rath was outstanding in serve receive, posting a 2.6 passing average and adding 17 digs to help keep the offense in system.

On Thursday, the Cougars traveled to Brighter Horizons and battled to a four-set victory. Bryan and Kennedy both had strong offensive nights, finishing with 11 and nine kills, respectively. Rath continued her strong week in serve receive with a career-high 2.8 passing average, while Bryan and Burkett followed closely with 2.4 and 2.3 passing averages. Loftis ran the offense efficiently, finishing with 37 assists and five kills.

The Cougars continue to find new contributors stepping up each week as they build momentum through district play.
