Grace Volleyball Sweeps Cristo Rey, Battles McKinney Christian at Home

September 28, 2026 – It was a busy week for Grace volleyball last week, as the Cougars hit the road Tuesday before returning home Thursday night.

On Tuesday, Grace traveled to Cristo Rey and came away with a three-set sweep. Whitson led the team with 12 kills, two aces and 15 digs while passing a 2.5 average in serve receive. Rath was outstanding from the service line, recording six aces, and both of the team’s middles contributed several important kills throughout the night.

On Thursday, the Cougars returned home to face McKinney Christian and fell in three sets, though the night included several strong individual performances. Muns had a big night at the net with six kills, including a memorable “Happy Birthday” kill, along with a couple of assists. Loftis contributed several assists and kills of her own, and Rath continued to shine in serve receive, passing a perfect 3.0 on the night.

Throughout this season, the Cougars have competed, worked together and battled through every match. The Cougars will hit the road again this week for a rivalry matchup at Brook Hill and then travel to Bishop Dunne later in the week.
