Lady Cougars Runaway With Championship at Woodlands Christian

On Saturday, October 1 Grace Community Cross Country was at The Woodlands Christian Academy

competing in the third in a series of meets on that site. Facing new opponents, an interesting course with unique obstacles, and with good racing weather for the first time the team had the best performance of the season. Nine of the fifteen Grace runners individually had their best race times of the season’ The Girls team again won their division led by Abby Metzger, the individual champion and a third place finish by Kayla Minick. They were followed by Lauryn Dunn 12 th , Maggie Jenz 14th and Ela Keeling 22nd putting them all in the top twenty-two finishers.

The Boys finished in third place as a team led by Grayson Gaddis’ 4th place finish. All of the scoring five had season best performances: Grayson, Drew Gaddis 8th , Grant Gilmore 11th , Roe Gaddis 15th , and Zach Callen 26 th .

This week the team is in the Lindale Eagle Invitational at the YWAM complex on Thursday, October 6.
