February 2, 2026 – The Grace Community varsity girls soccer team delivered a memorable Senior Night performance Friday at Clyde-Perkins Stadium, rolling to a 6–1 district victory over Austin Regents.

The Lady Cougars came out strong but fell behind 1–0 after a Regents goal against the run of play. Grace remained composed and continued to control possession, finding the equalizer on a corner kick when Addison Eli finished a well-placed cross from Elle Durham.

Eli and Durham connected again minutes later on nearly the same play to give Grace a 2–1 lead, then repeated the combination once more to make it 3–1. Durham capped off a dominant first half by scoring on a pass from Kate Herod, sending the Lady Cougars into halftime with a 4–1 advantage.

Grace continued to apply pressure in the second half. Durham added her second goal of the night to extend the lead to 5–1, and Eli completed her four-goal performance with another finish off a Durham assist to make the final score 6–1.

Eli’s fourth goal marked the 100th goal of her career at Grace, a milestone achievement that punctuated a complete team performance on Senior Night.

The Lady Cougars will close district play with a busy week ahead. Grace will host Cristo Rey on Monday at 5:30 p.m., welcome Bishop Dunne on Wednesday at 4 p.m., and travel Friday to face Austin Brentwood in the district finale. Friday’s match is scheduled for a 4 p.m. kickoff.

The program also recognized its seniors and their families for their commitment and leadership throughout the season. This year’s seniors are Elle Durham, Addison Eli, Parker Estes, Julia Feliciano, Maggie Gillen, Kate Herod, Olivia Pereda and Cesa Sabillon.
