Lady Cougars Stay Undefeated in District

The Grace Women’s Soccer team had a solid week last week. It kicked off with an away game at Henderson on Tuesday night, and it was a dominating performance! The Lady Cougars started the game strong, with Julia Feliciano scoring early on a cross from McKenzie Miller. Rylee Ratliff added a second in the first half, fighting off defenders after a pass from Elle Durham. Addison Eli sealed the win in the second half, scoring off a ball from Hadleigh Clark. The final score was 3-0.

The Lady Cougars finally hosted a home game on Friday, hoping to keep their winning streak alive by welcoming District opponent Frisco Legacy to Grace. It had promised to be a tough test for the girls, but they were more than up to the challenge. They steamrolled the Eagles in the first half, battling all over the field, and continued the domination in the second half. Legacy was not even able to register a shot on goal! The game ended 6-0 in favor of the Lady Cougars. Scoring for Grace were Cesa Sabillon (2), Elle Durham (2), Addison Eli, and Paige Britt.

The Lady Cougars will host home games again this week. Tuesday they welcome Coram Deo to Grace, and on Friday they will host Cristo Rey. Both games will kick off at 5:00 pm. We would love to see you there!
