Middle School Girls Soccer Shows Growth Against Tyler Heat, FC Dallas

December 15, 2025 – The middle school girls soccer team showed resilience and continued development in a pair of matches last week against strong competition.
On Tuesday, the team faced Tyler Heat and held its opponent scoreless through the first half. Despite making adjustments at halftime, the team fell 3-0 in the second half. The defensive effort was led by Sadie Velten, Catherine Staples, Lizzie Ravanesi and Landrey Walsh, while Josie Jenz and Jordy Powell anchored the attack.
On Thursday, the team competed in a friendly scrimmage against the 2012 FC Dallas girls team. While the match ended in a loss, it served as a valuable learning opportunity as the players grew more comfortable in their positions and adapted to a new formation. The midfield was organized and paced by Emmie Green, Collins Carter and Landrey Walsh.
The team continues to make progress and looks forward to facing both opponents again later in the season.
