Successs with the Cougar Relays

The track teams competed at home in the Cougar Relays this past Friday. The boy’s teams won the Varsity and JV divisions while the girl’s team finished runner-up in the Varsity division. r

The Lady Cougars had the following medalists. Winning gold were Emma Goetz in the 3200m & 1600m, Kat Neal in the discus, Paige Gilmore in the high jump, Maddie Keeling in the pole vault, and Aubrey Fenton, Maddie Keeling, Kayla Minick, and Maya Gilmore in the 4 x 400m relay. Winning silver were Kayla Minick in 800m, Lauryn Dunn in the 3200 &1600m, Sadie Ariole in the shot, Brooklyn Gautier in the pole vault, Aubrey Fenton, Maddie Keeling, Paige Gilmore, and Maya Gilmore in the 4 x 100m. Winning bronze were Kat Neal in the shot and Paige Gilmore in the 100m. 

The Cougars had the following medalists. Winning Gold were Blake Harmon in the 100m, Aden Hecht in the 110m & 300m Hurdles, Sam Brown in the 200m, Seth Wilson in the shot & discus, Doak Porter in the high jump, Ayle Hecht in the pole vault, Sam Brown, Blake Harmon, Ryder Welch and Simeon Hudson in the 4 x 100m relay, Ryder Welch, Dylan Taylor, Justus McQuay, and Simeon Hudson in the 4 x 200m relayAden Hecht, Peyton Kelly, Caden Swaim and Cole Edens in the 4 x 400m relay. Winning Silver was Sam Brown in the 100m, Blake Harmon in the 200m, Doak Porter in the 110m hurdles, Caden Swaim in the 300m hurdles, Austin Alexander in the discus, and Peyton Kelly in the triple jump. Winning bronze were Chris Alexander in the 3200m, Peyton Kelly in the 400m, and Nic Boone in the shot. 

The JV Cougars had the following medalists. Winning gold was Simeon Hudson in the 100m, William Butts in the 400m, Aaron Vidrine in the 110 & 300m hurdles, Dayne Edensin in the high jump, triple jump & 800m, Mac Gautier in the pole vault, Justus McQuay in the long jump and the 4x200m relay team of Aaron Vidrine, Camden Fenton, Mac Gautier, and Doak Walker. Winning silver was Camden in the 110 & 300m hurdles, Braydon Wells in the shot, and Ayden Serrato in the 1600m. Winning bronze was Was Butts in the 100m and Dayne Edens in the 400m.

Contributing points to their teams with 4th – 6th place finishes were: Brooklyn Gautier, Kayla Minick, Maggie Jenz, Macy Loftis, Randi Huddleston, Justus McQuay, Cole Edens, Chris Alexander, Dylan Taylor and Ayden Serrato.
